Women Empowerment is one of the key initiatives of Cornerstone Foundation. Women in these areas face gender discrimination, violence, and exclusion from opportunities. Female foeticide, child marriage, and domestic violence highlight the harsh realities they endure. Often considered burdens on their families, many women have been deprived of their rights, denied education, and subjected to abuse.

However, times are changing. Women are increasingly fighting for their rights, and governments are taking steps to ensure their safety and justice. Despite this progress, many rural women still face the same challenges and extra hurdles in the living areas, they did in the past.

Our program focuses on breaking these barriers through empowerment. We believe that life skills are a fundamental key to unlocking women's potential. By providing access to formal and non-formal vocational trainings, we equip women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to participate fully in social, economic, and political life.

Empowering women financially helps them make decisions, access resources, and improve their overall well-being. Educated women tend to have fewer children, better health outcomes, and are more engaged in their communities, fostering a more inclusive and democratic society.
